A commission I did of Link from Twilight Princess. Ah, I had fun playing the game. At least I finished it before my wii got busted :P

There's No Free in Freelancer
"But you've got all the free time in the world!"
A friend of mine said that to me a year ago. Now at that time, I did agree with him. If he said that to me now, I would've punched him in the face!
A year ago, I quit my job because I thought I was working way too many hours and I was literally becoming a zombie. See I have dreams. Dreams of making it big. Doing my own movie. Get my own merchandise line. Be my own boss. So after having enough of living like a lifeless corpse, I said goodbye to my former employers with a happy grin and went my merry way, back to my home town.
For 6 months, I didn't do ANYthing at all. Now that I had all this freedom, I didn't know what to do with it! Where had all my enthusiasm gone? What happened to all my ideas and plans for world domination? That betch, Procrastination had her claws all over me.
Luckily, I overcame that weakness. Now I have this little freelance business and BOY was I way off the mark with working hours. I have to do everything myself! From advertising, cleaning the office/room (OK, I confess, I have someone to help me do that HAHA), talk to clients, keep the site updated, etc. I think I worked more hours than when I had a 9 to 5 job.
Everything is going ok now. I will be making my business a little bit bigger soon. And guess what, that means more hours of planning, making it work and executing the plan. Y'know what though? I wouldn't want to trade any of this if it means I'm living my dreams :)
With that I'll leave you with a portrait of Randy Pausch and a link about managing time in freelancing.
Randy Pausch, is a great man. His "Last Lecture" made
me think how I should be living my life. To the fullest :)
